Peng Sound, a dance that started in a Bristol basement in late 2009 and has played host to some heavy hitters in the world of dub music as well as the likes of Kahn and Julie Bashmore, now celebrate the first release on their own Peng Sound Record imprint.* The love for music and d.i.y. culture inspired them to move things forward and establish a record label, putting forward the music they like to listen and dance to. It is a direct product of Bristol’s soundsystem culture and it’s wealth of creativity and musical freedom.
Both the label and events have strong belief in an honest, real and personal approach to things: face to face conversations, word of mouth recommendations, listening to vinyl & cassettes, hand-built soundsystems, dub sirens, cheering crowds and the joys of dancing together to one rhythm.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is a proper, heavy and hard steppa style UK roots tune, sure to bring the house down at any dance! A bass line to match any that you would find in a decent dubstep or grime production, so expect to hear this track further afield than just UK Roots Soundsystem dances. A much sort after tune!

(Sorry…but we think it sold out in most record shops within 24hours! Find one QUICK if you can!)

First release on the Peng Sound label
