Channel One Soundsystem, Mikey Dread and MC Ras Kayleb will be headlining for the Real Roots crew, who are hosting a monster Thursday night of reggae beats, dub, roots and culture. Also joining them will be selector Sammy D from Melodic Rockers and MC Clapper Priest +more TBC!

Channel One Sound System (DJ Set)
Channel One Sound System are one of the world’s best known dub reggae sound systems. Running for over 30 years, Channel One built up their reputation as one of the main sound systems at Notting Hill Carnival, now they play out every weekend all over the UK and Europe.
Channel One is made up of selector Mikey Dread playing roots reggae and consious steppas, the sound is completed by MC Ras Kayleb.

MC Clapper Priest
Clapper Priest grew up in a household with young Jamaican parents in Dalston, as a result was introduced at a young age to the spirit of Jamaica with regular house parties and blues dances. Started to obsessively collect rare and soul, funk and reggae records, early disco 45’s, CDs from an early age until in 1981 at the age of 20, he launched himself as a energetic, illuminating MC on the London sound system reggae scene. Now working with four different producers recording songs, regular at the Passing Clouds jam and events, regular night at the Vibe Bar. He has also been working with the Uprising Crew from Cambridge with Sista Mary I, and the Reggae Roast crew from North London.

Founder and event organiser of the Real Roots collective. Contributor with DJ Paulo for London Reggae/Dub. Sattamann plays a cross range of genres from crowd pleasing mash-ups of reggae beats to reggae classics, ska, roots and culture, dubwise…. into reggae influenced dubstep. Over the past few years he has played with several top DJs not forgetting summer festivals… such as One Love Festival, Standon Calling and Soundwave Croatia 2013!!ldn/reggaedub

Paulo plays straight from the heart. Has roots in funk and soul as well as reggae and an extensive knowledge of hip-hop. Contributor with Sattamann for London Reggae/Dub. Expect energetic performances from this underground London DJ. An excellent selector with a finger on the pulse for whats hot, renowned for finding superb new productions. Also delves into the darker, deeper, bass heavy side of reggae with a unique reaggastep selection. (Sometime known as “JAH PAULO”!)!ldn/reggaedub

Dark Futures
Dark Futures is a Dub producer and DJ from London. His tunes lean towards the deep, dark and dubby style of dub reggae and dubstep. Fresh, fast and original set performances. Playing Reggae beats from old classics to new, steppas, mash-ups, remixes, at times crossed with funk, soul, hip-hop, electro and more; an old hand now in the London club scene and a number one selector. A main member/DJ of Real Roots from it’s birth in 2009. Also a member of STEP:ONE / Audio Revolution

King Boco
Originating on the DJ scene in Leister over 10 years ago, now based firmly in London, DJ Boco is notorious for a fast and furious pace, with the precision of a metronome, plays an eclectic range of reggae classics, ska, dub and rarities, to rolling party tunes, dubstep, reggae breaks, d’n’b and electro. An in-depth specialism of funk and soul too…where does this man stop? Guaranteed to keep the party moving and get everyone dancing! Excellent cheeky mash-up productions to be found on Soundcloud.
